BOA VISTA, BRAZIL - June '06 - Mission Spotlight
The purposes of the Boa Vista, Brazil, project were:
- To strengthen existing Brazilian Baptist Churches through training and discipleship.
- To present the gospel to as many people as possible touching lives in all segments of the city.
- To help plant 5-9 new churches.
Westside teams have been flexible and willing to be creative in ministry in order to reach project purposes and goals. Direct evangelism and one-on-one discipleship became standard activities. Music and mission clinics ministered to churches. VBS activities, basketball clinics, student Gospel Points, parenting classes and the business conference were used to minister and reach to the community at large with the good new of Jesus Christ.

We hear testimonies all over Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil, similar to one written by a young lady to one of Westside's volunteers “I am writing this letter to thank you for coming and helping with evangelizing the Vila Olímpica neighborhood. The work is growing each day and I know you are praying for us. I thank God for sending servants from the other America to be with us…”
Since the Boa Vista partnership began in 2002 the number of churches has grown from 11 to 23. Your PRAYERS and your response to GO have made a difference.
